Have you ever tried to upload a photo to Instagram, only to be frustrated that this popular photo sharing app requires you to crop all your photos into squares? Even though Instagram wants to be a square-only photography network, there is a little-known trick that you can use to not crop your photos when you’re uploading them to Instagram. (Update: You can now upload non-square photos directly to Instagram!)
iPhone Photography Contest Winners III
iPhone Photo Competition Winners II
I am very excited to announce the winners of #IPSContest this week. I was once again very impressed with the submissions and there were many great photos that I had to leave out. There is of course no way to objectively select the best photos, but I’d like to share with you my personal favorites.
Review Of iPhone Photography Secrets Course By Chet Davis
It often amazes me that the entire iPhone photography community is just a few years old. It’s incredible how much has happened in these short years. From a few weirdos taking vintage-like photos it has grown to tens of millions of passionate iPhoneographers all over the world. While there is little doubt that iPhone photography is here to stay, it was still a surprise to me that someone would make an 87-lecture video course about taking photos with your iPhone. Yet this is exactly what technology expert Chet Davis has done. iPhone Photography Secrets is the first comprehensive iPhone photography course that teaches you everything you need to know about taking and editing stunning photos with your iPhone. Does iPhone Photography Secrets live up to its expectations? Read on to find out.Read More

Review Of Misho Baranovic’s iPhone Photography Book
Today I finished reading iPhone Photography: How to Shoot, Edit and Share Excellent Photographs by Misho Baranovic. Misho is an acclaimed Australian street photographer who teaches iPhone photography workshops and whose photos have been featured in photography exhibitions internationally.
Since iPhone photography is such a recent phenomenon, there aren’t many books about it yet. However from the few iPhone Photography books that I’ve come across so far, this one is arguably the best.
Discover The New iOS 6 Features For iPhone Photographers
I really love how once a year all your old iOS devices suddenly become a lot more functional and just cooler in general. It almost feels like getting a new gadget, except this doesn’t cost you anything. Yes, I’m talking about updating to iOS 6, the latest and greatest version of Apple’s mobile operating system that was released yesterday.
iOS 6 is a free update for all users of a recent iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch (see below), even though some features are only available on the latest generation devices. It comes with over 200 new features and it would be useless to list them all here since Apple does a great job at introducing them on their website.
My personal favorite so far is FaceTime over 3G, which I had a chance to test today. It felt somewhat unreal to have a free high-quality video call with my family while I was riding my bike through the city. Yep, the future is already here.Read More
