Thanks to everyone who participated in this week’s iPhone Photography School Contest on Instagram. As always, it was hard to choose the winners, and many great photos had to be left out. In no particular order, here are my favorite submissions this week.

It often amazes me that the entire iPhone photography community is just a few years old. It’s incredible how much has happened in these short years. From a few weirdos taking vintage-like photos it has grown to tens of millions of passionate iPhoneographers all over the world. While there is little doubt that iPhone photography is here to stay, it was still a surprise to me that someone would make an 87-lecture video course about taking photos with your iPhone. Yet this is exactly what technology expert Chet Davis has done. iPhone Photography Secrets is the first comprehensive iPhone photography course that teaches you everything you need to know about taking and editing stunning photos with your iPhone. Does iPhone Photography Secrets live up to its expectations? Read on to find out.

I really love how once a year all your old iOS devices suddenly become a lot more functional and just cooler in general. It almost feels like getting a new gadget, except this doesn’t cost you anything. Yes, I’m talking about updating to iOS 6, the latest and greatest version of Apple’s mobile operating system that was released yesterday.

iOS 6 is a free update for all users of a recent iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch (see below), even though some features are only available on the latest generation devices. It comes with over 200 new features and it would be useless to list them all here since Apple does a great job at introducing them on their website.

My personal favorite so far is FaceTime over 3G, which I had a chance to test today. It felt somewhat unreal to have a free high-quality video call with my family while I was riding my bike through the city. Yep, the future is already here.Read More
