Thank you to everyone who took part in our weekly iPhone photography contest. The contest theme this week was Artificial Light, and we had over 250 superb iPhone photos that were illuminated by a variety of artificial light sources. Taking pictures at night or in low light can be difficult, so I was incredibly impressed with the quality of the photos submitted. Here are my personal favorites this week.

How to Enter the Next Photo Contest
We recently published a tutorial on how to take stunning iPhone photos of water. The article covered composition tips such as using foreground interest, leading lines and framing, as well as tips for capturing great reflections, abstract images and long exposure photos.
So the new contest theme is Aqua, and any iPhone photos of water can be submitted. This can include lakes, rivers, waterfalls, ocean, ponds, rain, water splashes or any other other form of water.
To participate, simply tag your photos using IPSAqua tag on EyeEm. Please don’t use the IPSWater tag as this contains photos from a previous contest.
You can tag photos in the description field when you upload them, or when you edit the description of a photo that has already been uploaded (tap the three dots icon to edit a photo).
All photos must be shot and edited on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Please upload photos to EyeEm in full resolution and without any watermarks to make sure I can feature them on the website. Please do not submit more than 10 photos each week.
The submission deadline is Sunday, January 11.
