Thank you all for participating in our weekly iPhone photography contest. This week the contest theme was texture, and any photos clearly showing texture could be submitted. We had some really great submissions showing lots of different textures. Here are my personal favorites.
Which one of these photos is your favorite? Please let everyone know in the comments!
How to Enter the Next Photo Contest
Last week we featured a tutorial on the importance of using lines in your composition. Including lines in your iPhone photos can have a powerful impact and help lead the eye into the image. Lines can be straight, curved, S-shaped, converging, parallel or diagonal and they work best when they lead towards the focal point of your image.
So the new contest theme is lines, and any photos that include lines in the composition can be submitted.
To participate, simply tag your photos using IPSLines tag on EyeEm. You can tag photos in the description field when you upload them, or when you edit the description of a photo that has already been uploaded (tap the three dots icon to edit a photo).
All photos must be shot and edited on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Please upload photos to EyeEm in full resolution and without any watermarks to make sure I can feature them on the website. Please do not submit more than 10 photos each week.
The submission deadline is Sunday, August 10.
